The First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden, tested positive for COVID on Monday when she and her husband Joe Biden were enjoying a family vacation at a private residence in South Carolina.
Dr. Jill Biden is experiencing mild symptoms and has been prescribed the antiviral drug called Paxlovid, white house reports. It further said that Jill Biden would stay isolated at the vacation home for at least five days.
However, President Joe Biden continues to test negative during the two consecutive tests on Tuesday. Joe Biden was also given a booster dose of Pfizer vaccines as he recently recovered from the coronavirus.
Elizabeth Alexander, Jill Biden's communication director, said in a statement that Dr. Jill would return home after receiving two negative COVID tests.
